Randomness from the last week....

Ty had his first bottle yesterday. We wanted to introduce it quickly since Magdalen never took a bottle, and it got somewhat annoying. Grandma was over, and got to feed him. It was very sweet.

Here are some cute shots of my two favorite guys. They both caught a little cat nap the other night, and I loved how they looked so alike!

This video starts out slow, but if you last through it, you'll love the ending! The girls were singing their own lullaby to Baby Ty. They love making up their own lyrics. It is so cute! Anyways, they get a little crazy at the end, and it totally cracked me up.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The girls were excited to go back to church this Sunday. Church used to be extremely stressful for me since Bronwyn was having a REALLY hard time going to primary. But thanks to some AWESOME primary teachers and leaders, she now loves going. The girls got to pick out new dresses with Uma, and they both chose the same dress! The best part, they came with matching dresses for their own babies to wear.

Look at these irresistible lips and cute eye lashes. How will he ever keep the girls away?

Ty is now 2 weeks old, and has passed his birthweight. He is now a whopping 7 pounds and 5 ounces! He is still drowning in his newborn clothes, but I think he looks adorable all dressed up in this shot.
Here are my cute leprechauns! The quilt you see in the background is a handmade gift from our Doula. Awesome! My dad's ancestors are from Ireland, so there are a few St. Patrick's Day traditions in my family. The first being: I always get a St. Patrick's Day card from my Auntie Pam. Other members of the family come up with Irish Trivia, that I always do terribly at. But sitll, I look forward to them each year. The girls and I celebrated with matching shirts and green nail polish. Not much, but they still think it's great. We are also enjoying some green candy from Uma!

I definately am experiencing the luck of the Irish these days! Not only do I have the three cutest kids in the world, I have a great ward that has brought me meals for the last week, and they are still coming. I have an amazing husband who tells me everyday that I look skinny, and is always willing to help me out. Life is good!

Baby Ty, One Week Old!

What a week! It started out shaky, with Ty crying from 11 pm to 5 am, the first three nights of his life. Todd and I were getting really worried about some massive sleep deprivation. But the last four nights, he has been giving us 3 and 4 hour stretches at night! So we are actually settling in pretty well. I know that things can change quickly though, but as for now, we are doing really well. I even went grocery shopping today with all three kids! I feel like supermom!

This is the only time I have had a baby and been able to focus almost all of my attention on the baby. When Bronwyn was born, my dad was battling cancer. When Magdalen was born, Bronwyn was recovering from brain surgery, and I was recovering from losing my dad. It is amazing how different it is this time around, when there isn't a major heartache to deal with simultaneously. I am so addicted to Baby Ty. He has the perfect head shape, the smoothest skin, the sweetest features, and the most delicate eye lashes. I am always staring at him, admiring his perfection. The girls have been really sick this week, so we have had to keep them away from Baby Ty. But now that they are feeling better, they are really excited about him. Magdalen is always running up to him and saying "Oh baby Ty, he's soooo cuuute!". Bronwyn always wants him to lay down on a blanket next to all of her baby dolls. I am one lucky mama!

Baby Ty was born at 9:20 p.m., March 3, 2009. 20.75 inches long, 7 lbs.

Despite our incredible fatigue, my sweet husband has indulged my addiction to blogging, and spent the wee hours of the morning preparing this awesome video of our latest addition. We hope you enjoy! Ty William Bigelow was born on March 3rd, at 9:20 pm. The day began with a weekly appointment with our midwife. I was dilated to a SIX, 39 1/2 weeks along, and still not in labor. So we decided to strip the membranes, and get our little guy here. Well, I had a few contractions, but I could tell that things were still not really happening. I spent the day debating if I should get my water broken or not. It was an incredibly hard decision, as I like to do things as naturally as possible. But my excitement to meet my son won, and I went ahead and had my water broken at 6:00 pm. It still took a while for real contractions to get going, and I started to second guess my decision. But between 7:30 and 8:00, I could feel a real difference. Once the contractions kicked in, they didn't let up, and it was often overwhelming. But with the awesome support I received from my husband and doula, I was able to cope. Todd did exactly what I had told him to do. His main job was to tell me not to push, since I pushed out Magsy a little too quickly. At that moment I didn't really care that that was my goal, but in the long run, I was glad that he had kept me on the right track.
It is now shortly after 7:00 am, and I think we got about 2 hours of sleep last night. Our little guy REALLY wanted to be held. We are beyond excited to have Bronwyn and Magdalen come and meet their little brother later on this morning. We are also looking forward to our breakfast, which should arrive any moment now!
