What a week! It started out shaky, with Ty crying from 11 pm to 5 am, the first three nights of his life. Todd and I were getting really worried about some massive sleep deprivation. But the last four nights, he has been giving us 3 and 4 hour stretches at night! So we are actually settling in pretty well. I know that things can change quickly though, but as for now, we are doing really well. I even went grocery shopping today with all three kids! I feel like supermom!
This is the only time I have had a baby and been able to focus almost all of my attention on the baby. When Bronwyn was born, my dad was battling cancer. When Magdalen was born, Bronwyn was recovering from brain surgery, and I was recovering from losing my dad. It is amazing how different it is this time around, when there isn't a major heartache to deal with simultaneously. I am so addicted to Baby Ty. He has the perfect head shape, the smoothest skin, the sweetest features, and the most delicate eye lashes. I am always staring at him, admiring his perfection. The girls have been really sick this week, so we have had to keep them away from Baby Ty. But now that they are feeling better, they are really excited about him. Magdalen is always running up to him and saying "Oh baby Ty, he's soooo cuuute!". Bronwyn always wants him to lay down on a blanket next to all of her baby dolls. I am one lucky mama!
What a beautiful baby boy! I'm not afraid to admit that my boys are a little odd looking that first month, but Ty is adorable!! Way to go Marie!
ReplyDeleteI agree--he really is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHe is absolutly perfect! We are so happy for you both. I also agree that you are a supermom for taking all three kids to the store. Two is a challenge for me, three is a whole new ballgame. We hope he continues to sleep well for you and that you are able to enjoy the quiet moments with your new little man.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! Today was the first day I went grocery shopping alone with the kids, and Beau will be 4 weeks on sunday! And it was a very limited trip! Beau does really well at night all things considered, but I am having a much harder time with no sleep than I did with Kaden! I love the pic asleep in the boppy with the mittens on, a classic!
ReplyDeleteSo Handsome! Kudos to you for making it through the first week!
ReplyDeleteOh, he is such a cutie-bug! I think he looks perfect, too. And you ARE supermom, shopping with 3 kids after only a week. Wow!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, you guys! Aren't boys so different from girls? It's so fun to be able to experience both. Ty is adorable! Marie, supermom?, yes, a little crazy?... Are You NUTS?!!!!! I never take all my kids to the store, and my baby is 17 months old! You must still be runnin' on all that adreneline from the birth! You're awesome!
